If you like ice cream with a rich milk flavour, try Baekmidang. The one recommended on their menu is the chocolate strawberry ice cream, but I was too full that day to try it, so I chose the strawberry one instead.
If you are super hungry, go to this sujebi (hand torn noodle soup). The most famous dish should be the spicy seafood sujebi for 2 (14000W), but the person who went with me doesn’t eat spicy food, so I ordered two sujebi for 1 (7000W each). And the size surprised me because they were SO big!
The first one is kimchi sujebi, second one is potato seafood sujebi.
Mudfish soup is a very famous dish in Namwon. I just picked this place based on its location, it is right across the street from the most famous tourist site in Namwon- Gwanghalluwon, and the soup is really quite good.
Mudfish soup costs 9000W, there are also other mudfish dishes but I didn’t try them
The sujebi (hand-pulled dough soup) here might not be as famous as that of Samcheongdong sujebi, but it is also very delicious. And the special sesame flavour (7000W) is good too. The ordinary one (6000W) is cooked with oysters if you don’t like sesame.
I went to Korea on a birthday trip in January, so of course I had seaweed soup on my birthday according to Korean customs. I found this place on Korean web search, its location is super convenient in Myeongdong and it has very good reviews. You can check out the menu in English below.
This is in fact a restaurant franchise, so you can search for other branches online if you are not going to Myeongdong.
Sujebi is a traditional Korean hand-pulled dough soup. It was the first time I tried it in Korea, it is a very popular place, though many comments in the Korean web questioned why this place is so popular, but the location is quite central, and I found it quite tasty actually (maybe because I have never tasted really tasty sujebi before, haha).
